![]() To be able to meet the expectations of tourists experiencing the palace cuisine, service providers can improve their services by considering research results. Practical implications – By identifying components of the palace cuisine dining experience and their relevant importance, the findings of this study can increase service providers’ knowledge and facilitate their jobs. The online narratives of tourists (n 5 911) who had experienced Ottoman palace cuisine in Istanbul were obtained from an online travel platform (TripAdvisor) and analyzed using content analysis.įindings – Seven main components were revealed: perceived authenticity, perceived service quality, knowledge, a sense of royalty, food specialties and attributes, a memorable experience and a sense of awe. Thus, the main purpose of this study was to examine the components of tourists’ dining experiences related to palace cuisine foods.ĭesign/methodology/approach – In this study, a qualitative approach was adopted to capture the components of tourists’ dining experiences. However, more studies are needed to comprehend tourists’ dining experience in unique cuisines. Purpose – In the field of tourism, numerous studies have been conducted on tourists’ food experiences. We conclude with a review of the pros and cons of alternative ways of comparing single-person and focus group interviews using MAXQDA. The final section describes how we used the Summary Grid and the Summary Tables to organize our findings and draw our conclusions. In the third section, we explain how we compared and contrasted all summarized data in terms of categories by using the MAXQDA visual tools: Document Portrait, Code Matrix Browser, and Code Relations Browser. We present this case illustration in four sections. The purpose of this chapter is to provide a detailed description of how the visual tools of MAXQDA were used to compare how elementary Portuguese teachers and students conceive mathematics assessment. ![]() The data were gathered through both single-person (with teachers) and focus group (with students) interviews. ![]() We used a multiple-case study design, with five third grade teachers and their students.
